Home Page
Welcome! CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, is Europe's most successful consumer association with over 180,000 members. It fights to save Britain's pub heritage and campaigns for a wide choice of tasty traditional beers and ciders. The Gloucestershire branch covers the GL1 to GL20 postcode areas. Postcode areas GL50 to GL56 are now covered by separate Cheltenham and North Cotswold branches.

We plan to use this home page to show news items about pubs and beer in the Branch area, ahead of publication in the Tippler. So if you have any hot news items, please email them to our webmaster.

We've moved!

This site is now hosted on the main CAMRA server. Please update your bookmarks to www.gloucestershire.camra.org.uk - just put a dot between 'gloucestershire' and 'camra'!

2016 COTSWOLD BEER FESTIVAL SHIRTS

Regrettably, we did not receive enough requests to make a stand-alone re-order of 2016 shirts viable, but we may be able to "piggy-back" a re-order on our order for 2017.

If you missed out at the festival and would like one of these rather special shirts, please let us know by email, and we will contact you if a re-order proves possible.

CHAMPION BEER OF GLOUCESTERSHIRE 2016

This year's Champion Beer of Gloucestershire was judged at the 2016 Cotswold Beer Festival. Gloucester Brewery was overall winner for the second year running, this time with their Demi God. Runner up was Over a Barrel from Bespoke. Full results, including category winners and runners up can be seen here.

NATIONAL PUB OF THE YEAR IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE AGAIN

For the second year running a pub in Gloucestershire has been judged the best pub in the UK. This time CAMRA's National Pub of the Year is the Sandford Park Alehouse in Cheltenham. Last year's winner, the Salutation Inn, at Ham near Berkeley, was a close runner up in the regional round of the competition.

Many congratulations to Grant Cook and his team at the Alehouse for achieving this award, and to Cheltenham CAMRA branch for nominating the pub.
